一、Characteristics
TEM mode dielectric resonators (also known as TEM mode ceramic resonators or strip ceramic resonators) are mechanical resonators made of highly stable ceramic materials with piezoelectric effect by firing. When a voltage is applied, it deforms due to the piezoelectric effect and resonates at a specific frequency, the resonance frequency of which is determined by its vibration mode and the length and thickness of the ceramic substrate. The disadvantage of the TEM mode dielectric resonator is that its frequency accuracy is poor, usually, the frequency accuracy of the quartz crystal is 0.001%, but in the mode ceramic resonator it reaches 0.5%, so the mode ceramic resonator is limited to the circuit with low accuracy requirements.
TEM mode dielectric resonator has a wide range of dielectric constant (covering 300 MHz ~ 5.8 GHz), high Q value, low temperature, SMT package, easy to solder, used in microwave circuits such as oscillators in wireless communication, usually with filters, routers, multiplexers, and other communication signals. It is a basic device used to constitute the miniaturization of microwave circuits and the high performance of products.

三、Application & attention
Because ceramic resonators are cheaper than quartz crystals, they are usually used instead of quartz crystal units as reference clocks or signal sources for electronic circuits, but because ceramic resonators are thermally stable, It is also widely used in radar T/R components, satellite communications, Doppler induction, aerospace, navigation, electronic countermeasures, remote sensing, telemetry, radar, electronic countermeasures and other national defense and military fields. When installing a dielectric resonator in TEM mode, ensure that the edge of the welded surface coincides with the ground edge of the resonant surface; otherwise, the frequency will be affected.
Products such as TEM mode dielectric resonators are highly customizable and flexible in design. The indicators of microwave components are implicated and sound to each other. Therefore, the user needs to clearly state the indicator requirements before customization. Once the product is made, it cannot be changed. If there are indicators that exceed the physical limit of the material itself, the best indicators can be achieved through negotiation between the two parties.
